Day 1: Meet your fellow adventurers and tour leader at 6 pm at the joining hotel in Antigua, Guatemala.

Day 2: We have an early start today (with takeaway breakfast) to conquer Volcano Acatenango. She is big, at almost 4000 metres, this is by no means an easy day. However the views that you are going to see will be so incredibly worth it.

Day 3: Today is a rest day in Antigua. This city is perfect to just watch the world go by if you didn’t fancy anything planned. But there are lots of options if you don’t want to just rest: cooking classes, city tours, massages and more.

Day 4: Today we take a quick drive to Guatemalas 2nd largest city. Quetzaltenango (Xela) is worth spending a bit of time in. Tonight around 6pm we have an orientation with our friends Quetzaltrekkers to prepare for our three-day trek.

Day 5: We start early for a big day ahead. The landscape we’ll see is impressive and worth the tender feet tonight. We might even get a Temezcal (Mayan Sauna). We hit our highest point at 3050 meters early this afternoon. Tonight we stay with a family, but in specific quarters for us hikers.

Day 6: We stay high this morning but, after lunch, begin our descent. We go through so many different, truly magical, landscapes today. Tonight we stay with another family, for an amazing last meal, toasted marshmallows and a well deserved ‘Gallo’.

Day 7: A very early wake-up gets us to our sunrise point in time to settle in and watch the absolutely breathtaking show that is about to take place. We will have views to Volcanoes Atitlan, San Pedro, Tolliman, Acatenango, Fuego and Agua! After the show we make our way down to the shores of Lake Atitlan. After our bags are dropped and we’ve had lunch we will make our way Panajachel.

Day 8: Today is an easy day! A leisurely departure takes us to our waiting boat for a tour of Lake Atitlan! We will visit three villages on the lake and take in the best art works, coffee and culture there is on offer. Our private boat will have us back to Panajachel by mid-afternoon.

Day 9: We’re heading to Santa Ana, El Salvador today. The journey is about seven hours. Think of it as a rest day in preparation for tomorrow’s challenge: conquering El Salvador’s highest volcano!

Day 10: Another day, another impressive volcano to conquer! El Salvador highest – we’ll take it! This is another full day of hiking. You deserve the cold beers that await our returnand the pupusas that will fill your belly!

Day 11: Today we are travelling all the way to Potosi, Nicaragua, which will be the base for our hike tomorrow of Volcano Cosiguina. Beautiful vistas all the way!

Day 12: We will start the day early, to beat the heat and climb Volcano Cosiguina. Compared to the volcanoes we have climbed, she will be one of the easier (but not easy) ones. After the drive of several hours will take us to Leon where, after checking in and dinner, we’ll head out for some rum tasting. You didn’t think Nicaragua was just volcanoes did you?

Day 13: We have a rest and discovery day today. Leon is an awesomely authentic Nicaraguan city, so if you want to do more than just rest, there are many options!

Day 14: What a fabulous last day we have planned! A morning departure to take on Cerro Negro (hiking up and either hiking or boarding down), returns us to Leon for lunch. Then we set off early afternoon for our Telica Twilight tour. This will include sunset on her side, crater-side photos and a possibility of seeing some red hot lava! And then, of course, our goodbye dinner, to celebrate our accomplishments!

Day 15: The tour ends today unless you have booked one of our glorious add-ons: to Granada, Ometepe or BOTH!

Some of our tours have optional add-on packages, which secure those activities for you in advance, and may be less expensive and less hassle than booking them individually while on your trip. You can add these packages on at check out.

Add-on 1: Single Supplement – $TBA.00
