  • Days / nights4 / 3
  • PRICE (Starting at) CA$819

Summary

Travelling up the Coquihalla highway, you’ll get a chance to admire nature’s handiwork, not only with the gorgeous fall colours, but also by noting the variety of natural geographic and geologic features that give us glimpses into current and past natural history. During October, the banks of the Adams River, 405 km inland from the Pacific Ocean, become the scene of a natural miracle as the quiet waters of river welcome Sockeye Salmon returning to their home waters to spawn. Struggling against insurmountable odds, one out of every four thousand eggs laid in the Adams River lives to return there as a spawning adult. This trip is rounded out with a peaceful houseboat float on Shuswap lake as well as an educational wine tasting experience.
